George Lopez Calls Kirstie Alley A Pig When He’s Fat Too

There is an old saying that goes “when you point the finger at someone there are there are often three fingers pointing back at you. This definitely  seems to be the case with George Lopez after he made fun of Kirstie Alley after her Dancing With the Stars appearance by calling her a fat pig.

His name calling seems to be more about him than it does about Kirstie. When George looks in the mirror there is no doubt he has not come to grips with his the physical changes that have resulted perhaps due to taking  the weight gaining anti rejection medication for his kidney transplant or the resulting excess fluid retention in his body.

His lashing out at Kirstie’s weight may very well be due to the fact that he cannot cope with his own weight gain and  subsequent body changes ,resulting self loathe.


If we look back at the re runs of his television sitcom from 2004-2007 we see a much more slender and  healthier looking George.  Since this photo was taken,  his face has become wider and bloated. His  present day complexion  looks more pallid and looks even more pitted than before as his his eyes  now often have more of  a budging appearance to them.

LEAVING HIS WIFE WHO SAVED HIS LIFE BECAUSE  HE SAYS SHE WAS ‘OVERWEIGHT”

A few months ago I was in the makeup room at CNN and met a beautiful woman who was also having her makeup done in the seat next to me.  We were discussing my new book called Toxic Men. She immediately told me that she needed to read that book as she as getting a divorce from her husband.

She then proceed to tell me her name, Ann , and hand me her business card which said Ann Lopez, producer. On the card it also said that she was the producer of George Lopez Productions. It was then that I realized that the Toxic Man she was referring to was comedian George Lopez

She proceeded to tell me how George had an unknown birth defect with kidneys the size of raisins. In 2005  , doctors said he was going to die unless he had a kidney transplant.  She volunteered to give him one of her kidneys and he gladly accepted.

Then after saving  his life, she found out he was cheating on her  with prostitutes by reading the tabloids. She was shocked and demanded a divorce. But to make himself look good, and to make Ann look like the villain in the marriage, Lopez has been telling the press he divorced his wife (who he had been married to since 1990 for  21 years  and with whom he had a daughter) because she was overweight.

Ann was a heavy set woman and was always that way since he married her in 1990. She was that way before and after they had their daughter in 1996. Obviously her size never bothered him or he overlooked it because he knew she was a wonderful woman who was devoted to him. In fact in his book Why You Crying? he said

“I want to tell you about a woman I have been married to for ten years, my wife, Ann, who speaking truthfully, saved me from myself. Who saved me from destroying myself because of my background. Who saved me from wasting my life, drinking my life away, never fulfilling my dreams because of what I had come from, and truly believing and loving — truly the first person to ever truthfully, unconditionally love me.”

But the problem was that George didn’t love himself. He couldn’t accept that unconditional love and the Ultimate gift of life from Ann. So what did he do? He sabotaged himself by having affairs with hookers.

INSTEAD OF BASHING HIS OWN WEIGHT GAIN HE BASHES IT OUT ON OTHERS LIKE KIRSTIE

Three weeks after his kidney surgery in 2005 he felt well enough to play golf. According to medical reports he was given anti-kidney rejection drugs. Whether it was the anti-rejection  drugs, or the fluid retention from  his non transplanted kidney not working, George put on a considerable amount of weight as you can ein the photo.

Instead of addressing his own  weight issues, he lashed out on his wife Ann, on Bristol Palin whom he said  got heavier after she appeared on DWTS, and   now he’s beaten up on Kirstie Alley.

He would have stuck by  the Kirstie weight bashing “ joke”   if the public had not rebelled in a big way.

People would not accept what he said about her being a pig and neither could Kirstie. In fact she lashed back and called him a “drunk pig” who had  a little too much vodka.

People are very sensitive to Kirstie’s plight.  They have seen her struggle  with weight for years

from being a failed spokesperson for Jenny Craig


to her doing  her own sitcom “Fat Actress” where she showed her struggles with her weight.

The unflattering  tabloid ambush shots of her being overweight and eating fattening foods, which  also kept her weight battle very public.

She addressed  her weight on every talk show and even came on Oprah to show her progress on Jenny Craig as she wore a bikini. Her body language on the show clearly showed how ashamed and uncomfortable and self-conscious she was as she hid her lower body in a gossamer pareo .

She constantly  made jokes about her weight. But those jokes were simply to hide her pain and her self-consciousness.

Before she began  DWTS, she took off 60 lbs  of her own which she said was due to her own weight loss program.

But the real weight loss will come now under Maksim’s guidance. There there is no doubt that Kirstie will be svelte once again.
After witnessing Kirstie’s weight struggle’s throughout the years, the public is sympathetic towards her and wants her to both  win and lose – win the mirror ball trophy on DWTS and lose the weight.

As for George, my advice to him is to   focus on his own weight loss since the issue of being fat concerns him so much.

Naomi Campbell’s Body Language and Vocal Tone On Oprah Indicates She May Continue To Be A Danger to Others As She “Sees Red,” Is In Denial, and Blames Others

NAOMI NEEDS TO BE TALKING TO  A MENTAL HEATH PROFESSIONAL INSTEAD OF  OPRAH

Perhaps one of the most disturbing interviews I have ever seen was watching model Naomi Campbell on Oprah.

Naomi’s :

crying for no reason for no reason  at all

not knowing why she was crying  when asked by Oprah,

her telling Oprah that she” sees red’ and then doesn’t remember anything and

her making countless excuses for her egregious behavior

leads me to believe that she is a clear  danger to anyone who has to  work with her or deal with her personally or professionally.

A  person with  no clue why they act the way they do and  abuses others because they   don’t do exactly what is expected,   is  a TOXIC PERSON  and frightening to be around.

Perhaps Oprah may have even sensed that Naomi might possibly  be dangerous and go off on her as well, especially after Naomi said that she “sees red” and then doesn’t remember what happens after she goes off on someone.

Maybe that  is why  Oprah’s body language indicated that she was particularly gentle with Naomi on her show. Perhaps she didn’t want to upset Naomi to the point that she  saw  red and ended up throwing  something at Oprah.

 WHY OPRAH HAD NAOMI ON THE SHOW AND WHAT NAOMI WAS TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH BY BEING ON THE SHOW?

We obviously  know why Oprah had Naomi on the show- sweeps ot  ratings season.  But what was Naomi’s reason for being on Oprah’s show?

She had nothing to promote and really had nothing  of value  to say except make excuses for her bad behavior and to display how TOXIC she was.

Sometimes people go on Oprah to set the record straight. They want to tell their side of the story and to let the public know who they  really are.

Well Naomi’s appearance definitely let everyone know who she is- a  very disturbed woman  in my view who needs to be  feared until she gets some major professional help and gets her anger in control .

 Looking at the little red Kabballah bracelet tied to her wrist, it will take a lot more than Kabbalah, Madonna’s  organization  to set this woman straight. It will take hours and hours of serious  therapy by a qualified professional.

 NAOMI BEING A SELF ADMITTED” CONTROL FREAK”  SPEAKS TO HER IMMATURITY, LACK OF SELF CONTROL, BOUNDARIES AND IMMATURITY AND BEING A  TOXIC PERSON

While not everyone who is a self admitted control freak is abusive, being a control freak and not being flexible and tolerant of others can  often lead towards abusing others.

Look at another self admitted “control freak,” Kate Gosselin and how she abused her former husband Jon, her kids, and most recently, her dancing partner on Dancing With the Stars, Tony Dovalani.

While Kate has been seen throwing clothing and toys,  Naomi’s throwing items like cell phones and other items and hitting people and  ABC cameras shows that this woman is out of control herself.

This is the case with most control freaks. They cannot control themselves and their own impulses , so  they try to control others and everyone around them.

When A baby doesn’t get their way, they cry or often throw a tantrum.  That is exactly what Naomi does. She obviously hasn’t grown up. She still resorts to this immature and infantile behavior.  Mature grownups use words. They don’t throw  things at others and hit them.

BRINGING HER  MARRIED BOYFRIEND ON THE SHOW DID NOT ENDEAR NAOMI TO MANY VIEWERS

For someone who espouses to do the right thing and encourages moral turpitude, it didn’t seem very  Oprah-like to me to allow Naomi to display her married boyfriend on the show like a first grader brings a pet turtle to school for “show and tell.”

I don’t care if the man is  a handsome Russian or  looks like he stepped  out of the pages of Gentleman’s Quarterly, or that he has been separated for ten years.

I don’t care if he said it twice or twenty times. The fact is that  he is still a  married man and doesn’t sit right with a lot of viewers. That did not help Naomi in trying to rehab her image on Oprah in my view. Instead, it showed very poor judgment on her part.

Control Freaks as Naomi  described herself, may be on their best behavior with a  lover  Naomi  says she likes to have a man in control. So  no doubt,  her Russian married boyfriend agrees with this philosophy or  he wouldn’t be with her for very  long.

But eventually one’s the real personality  comes out. So no doubt when Naomi starts showing more signs of a  her control freak nature, who uses violence to get her way, her married Russian lover may go back to the  wife to whom he was separated  from for the past  ten years.

NAOMI  IF FULL OF THE BLAME GAME  FROM ACCUSING ABC OF PUTTING IN SOUND EFFECTS WHEN SHE HIT THE CAMERA TO HER EMPTY WORDS ABOUT AN ABANDONED CHILDHOOD

As soon as Naomi  spoke she turned millions off  viewers. While she had every right to not speak  about an issue when she was interviewed and  even had a right to walk off the set if it upset her that much, she did NOT  have  right to slap a producer’s camera on her way out.

She could have done some major damage to extremely sensitive and sophisticated equipment.

Naomi claimed to Oprah that there was “a sound effect” added to the ABC News reports on the incident. ABC News claims that they  did not add any sound effects to the ABC News reports on the alleged blood diamond gift, which aired April 22 on both World News and Nightline.

I believe them as  news organizations do not do such things. Having worked for ABC’s Los Angeles’ affiliate  myself as a reporter, I can assure you that this does NOT happen.

Naomi had no accountability whatsoever.  ‘She actually smiled  as smug smile as you can see in the above photo. She spoke about her lashing out as though she was proud of her TOXIC  behavior.

 EXCUSES, EXCUSES , AND MORE  EXCUSES  AS SHE EXPLAINS HER THROWING THINGS COMES FROM  ABANDONMENT ISSUES

Naomi had to clarify that it was not a jewel encrusted phone that she threw at the housekeeper but a regular one!

When Oprah calmly asked her “What it is in you that tells you it’s OK thow throw things?” Naomi looks away  and says  sees red  as she said she didn’t even remember why she threw the phone at the housekeeper who couldn’t find her jeans. She says  “ I don’t remember  I just threw the phone .

She then goes on to say “I’m ashamed.”  Nut Naomi showed no visible body language signs of shame  and no vocal signs of shame. It was clearly  noting more than rehearsed rhetoric, especially when she attributed her actions to “abandonment issues.”

After  Naomi had no clue or  insight as to why she behaves as she does, she decided to bring in some psychology  101 and discuss “abandonment issues.”

As she discussed this she looked down. She couldn’t even look at Oprah as she knew this was complete BS.  Like Oprah remarked in a calm monotone, lots of people have abandonment issues and mamma issues and  they don’t throw things.

When Naomi tied to  lamely explain that since she was abandoned she keeps trying to build   up a family around her “ that’s not my immediate family.” She goes on to say that  if  she feels  a mistrust then”  she let’s loose with her violent behavior.

Well here is a clue  Naomi. Your helpers and assistants and cab drivers and people on airplanes and taxi drivers are NOT your family.

I would say create a real family of your own, but on second thought until you get your anger and your psychological issues sorted out, it would be a tragedy to bring anyone into your life and abuse them like you have constantly abused others.

NAOMI”S MOTHER SPILLS THE BEANS

While Naomi tried to attribute her issues on to her mother, he mother let out some very valuable information about Naomi.

She said that she worked hard as a 19 year old mother and sacrificed a lot so that Naomi could have everything she wanted and get a great education and attend private schools.

This screams at what an ingrate Naomi is. Instead of focusing on what she didn’t have – her mother’s time, she needs to focus on what she did have- and how her mother made  every opportunity possible like going to private school.  Perhaps that would help her diffuse her internal rage.

 PLAYING THE VICTIM ROLE COMPLETE WITH TEARS

When a person cries  and cries  and can’t tell you why they are crying, a possibility is that they are in a depression.

But when one is  on Oprah and  doesn’t wipe off their tears and leaves them there to glisten, chances are very high that they are using their tears as a form of manipulation in leaving them there for effect. They want  you to feel sorry or pity for them.

I have no doubt that this was the case with Naomi. Oprah offered her a kleenex,  but the tears were still there, glistening. Also when she wiped away some non tears that is when I was convinced it was all for effect and all for control and manipulation.

THUMBING HER NOSE UP AT HER PUNISHMENT FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE

When Naomi had to undergo hours of community service she wore her designer clothing complete with evening gown.  This was an obvious message to the powers that be. She tried to explain it away that she had a photo shoot afterwards.

One does NOT come to photo shoots in a designer gown.  The gown is usually put on  at the time of the photo  shoot as to not ruin it  with perspiration or dirt.

If she was doing her community service washing out toilets and floors, there is a high percentage that she would get some dirt and grime on her gown. So what she was saying was ridiculous.

She then tried to spin it that she had nice clothing  and likes to dress well and so she wore what she usually wears.  Puhleeze!

It was clear as to what Naomi was doing and saying by this action.  Her message was  “ I am above it I am entitled and I will show you!  I will wear  designer elegant gowns to your lowly common community service to further rub in your face just who I am!”

It was clear that she was thumbing her nose at the system in a very immature way.

PRETTY IS AS PRETTY DOES AND  NAOMI IS NOT PRETTY

Watching Oprah fawn over Naomi and drool over how beautiful she was and the perfection 0f her body was absolutely  sickening to me. In my eyes. When Oprah spoke about how she envied Naomi and her glamorous life, it spoke volumes about Oprah and her insecurities about her looks and self admitted weight issues.

Naomi is anything but pretty, attractive, or  beautiful in my eyes.  In fact she is quite the opposite. I strongly subscribe to the “pretty is as pretty does” philosophy.

So what is she has a proportional figure which makes her sexy to men as Bono said.  Maybe in her past she took cocaine to keep thin and keep her model figure as so many models did back in the day.

But now that she is 40,  she showed that she spends hours and hours a day of grueling exercise to keep that figure. That is her job.  As a live mannequin , Ii she gets flabby she won’t look as good in the clothing  which people pay her a  lot of money to showcase.

Anyone who is that nasty, clueless, in denial, unaccountable for their actions,  superficial and remorseless is anything but pretty in my eyes !

NO REMORSE  IN VOCAL TONE AS SHE CLAIMS  TO WANTS TO BE A BETTER PERSON

Wearing her  her little red $20  Kabbalah Center string on her wrist, Naomi wipes away  her contrived  tears as  in a monotone, she  says  that she wants to be a better person.

Based on her lack of emotion in her tone and her looking away, and lack of  remorse in her facial expression or body language,  those appeared to be empty words. They sounded good but they were  not heartfelt.

If Naomi wants to be a better person, the first thing she needs to so is stop working and gallivanting around and get into some serious  and intensive therapy before she interacts with others.

She needs to give some of her millions that she earned throughout the years to charitable causes like the Smile Train  Foundation or Doctors Without Borders who operate on patients with facial deformities.

A better person gives and is not  only consumed with themselves. They donate their time and efforts to help others.

Maybe Naomi needs to start at modeling school or class  for inner city young women to help them build their self esteem.

Finally anyone who wants to  be a better person does the right thing. That includes  not going with a married man – even if he has been separated for ten years. If he hasn’t divorced his wife and made a commitment,  it means that he is still connected to his wife.

Oprah’s last words to Naomi was that she hopes she finds peace and that Naomi not spend as much time on her  external  world  and more on her  internal world.

That is like asking a duck to use a computer.  What Oprah really needed to say was, “run and see a therapist as soon as you can because you have clearly demonstrated  on this show that you are in serious need of help.” www.drlillianglass.com

Octomom’s Body Language on Oprah Shows Denial, Misguided Perception, and a Cry For Help While Oprah’s Body Language Showed Disgust

Days later, I am still  haunted by Oprah’s “Day In the Life of Nadya Suleman.” In observing Nadya’s body language, I can clearly say that this woman is misguided and disconnected from the reality of her very serious  situation.

With her inappropriate laughter, at one extreme, and on the other extreme with  her deadpan lack of appropriate facial animation and expression, monotone, meaningless mea culpa  filled with self deprecation,  and her  misguided  and unrealistic views, there is no question that Nadya is in need of some serious help.

OPRAH’S BODY LANGUAGE INDICATED SHE WAS NOT TOO KEEN ABOUT HAVING NADYA ON HER SHOW

Nadya said that  her intention in appearing on Oprah because she was sick and tired of people having the wrong idea about her.  So she wrote to Oprah to have her on the show and Oprah obliged, albeit unwillingly, based on Oprah’s body language.

Oprah, was clearly not too keen about having  Nadya on her show  and it  showed  in . Oprah’s uncharacteristic stiffness, lack of smiling, tenseness in her face  and a turned –off vocal tone, showing disgust.

Oprah Winfrey even  said on  the show  that she  “had reservations” about interviewing Nadya Suleman, That is why she  initially  refused to  join in on the Octomom media frenzy,  until she received  a letter from Nadya  telling her how she wanted the world “to see her for who she is.”

WAS NADYA’S REAL INTENTION FOR GOING ON OPRAH TO GET  OPRAH’S FINANCIAL HELP?

If you are not  promoting a book , a TV show , a  product,, or some charitable cause, why  go on Oprah?  While Nadya says her intention for going on the show was to set the record straight, I think that it may have been a lot more calculated on Suleman’s part.

Perhaps she thought that by going on Oprah, she could  play the victim role , with the hope of  Oprah bailing  her out of her mess, like Oprah has done for so many of her guests in need throughout the years.

Oprah has been known to give away houses, college educations, seed money to start  businesses,  pay mortgages, and buy cars for previous guests .

So, perhaps Nadya thought why not go on Oprah and allow her to film her life with her children. This way,  Oprah could see what a difficult time Nadya was having  with all her chaos and perhaps  Oprah would now provide her with more nannies, a bigger home, pay off her mortgage, provide a trust fund for all the kids for a college education, or all of the above.

But by the tone of  Oprah’s voice and the direction of her questioning, along with the  regular flashes of  a disgusted  facial expression, Oprah was  having none of it.

She clearly let Nadya know that Nadya and her brood were on their own, sans Oprah’s help.

At the end of the show Oprah offered  up nothing to Nadya except for wishing her  well in an uncharacteristically  non- Oprah-like  unenthusiastic tone..

OPRAH  TRIED TO PROVIDE OPTIONS FOR NADYA THROUGH HER QUESTIONING


While many would say that Nadya’s  appearance on Oprah  brought in a larger viewership that day and for that alone, Oprah should have rewarded Nadya with a little something like paying off her  mortgage so that Nadya and her kids would have a roof over their heads and their home wouldn’t  go into foreclosure.

But  after watching Oprah for decades, this is not how Oprah works. Oprah is all about empowering people and helping those who try to help themselves. She doesn’t give them the fish. Instead she gives them the fishing pole so that they can be empowered to do things on their own.

After listening to Oprah’s questioning  of Nadya,  you could see Oprah getting more tense body language wise and more angry facial language and vocal wise because  she soon discovered that talking to Nadya was like talking to a wall.

Nadya  had no intention of helping herself.  For example, Nadya was insistent  that she would NEVER  ever put her kids on television . She even remarked that it was “boarderlinbe abuise.”

Oprah then probed  further asking Nadya if  someday will she feel  forced to put her kids on TV to  earn money so they can survive, Nadya was adamant that she would never do it. Case closed!

Nadya then went on to say that she did appear on the cover of a magazine in a bikini but that is not who she is and that when the money runs out from that media gig,  she doesn’t know how she will survive.

Nadya’s answer  it appears was  a clear ploy to get Oprah to feel sorry for her as a person who had “:no way out.” It was as though  she was waiting for Oprah to   say. “ Oh poor Nadya. Here is some  money so now all your problems will go away.”

But Oprah did nothing of the sort. Instead Oprah  probed  deeper with her questioning and Nadya was even more adamant that she would not put her kids in the media.

NADYA’S  INTENTION OF HAVING OPRAH HELP HER BACKFIRED DUE TO HER HYPOCRISY, CONTRADICITONS  AND STUBBORNESS

Nadya’s  stubbornness at not wanting  her kids on TV and her hypocrisy of  having  posed bikini-clad  for photos for money  to feed her kids  turned views off..  This, along with her  now actually having her kids filmed   on TV  showing  them in a  day in her life  reeked of hypocrisy and contradiction.

OPRAH MAY HAVE BEEN WILLING TO HELP BEFORE NADYA  MENTIONED “BOARLINE ABUSE “

I have no doubt that Oprah could have helped   if  Nadya would have only  shown signs of wanting to help  herself. When Oprah openly asked her that if someday, wouldn’t she feel that she might have to put her kids on TV, Nadya barely let Oprah get the question out  as she chimed in that she was  appalled  at the suggestion, calling it “ boarderline abuse.”

As Oprah  asked  that question I could see the wheels turning in Oprah’s mind .  Oprah is the most powerful woman in the television world with her OWN television  network incidentally   called OWN (Oprah Winfrey  Network) . Oprah could have  easily given  Nadya a prime time show  like TLC did with Jon and  Kate plus 8 where we watched these multiples grow up. The show could have provided  Nadya with  more nannies and  more financial help  to address the children’s needs.

If  Oprah was behind Nadya’s show .Oprah would have NEVER abused any children  by having them filmed for their own show. There is no doubt in my mind that she would have abided by the  strict child labor laws ,

Oprah could have definitely helped Nadya in a legitimate way. But Nadya was too unaware and disconnected to the reality of her situation   allow Oprah to help.

Oprah didn’t offer her the fish.  Instead,.  though her line of questioning , Oprah was no doubt was offering Nadya the fishing pole,  with the opportunity to do a show so she could support her kids.

But as  soon as Oprah head the words “boarderline abuse the wheels stopped turning in her mind as  to how she could help Nadya get out of her dire financial  situation. Oprah was done!

NADYA’S MISGUIDED PERCEPTION  THAT PUTTING HER KIDS ON TV IS
“BOARDERLINE ABUSE!”

Nadya’s  misguided perception of  putting her kids on TV is not abuse , especially if  Oprah was involved in doing a show with her. As long as there were proper things in place like the  number  hours they could be filmed, having medical help on hand, having psychologists the team available, having educators on hand, there would not be abuse.

ABUSE IS EMOTIONAL NEGLECT

Abuse is what we saw on  TV in watching the day in Nadya’s life . Neglect is abuse and those kids are clearly neglected emotionally.  She knows it and even mentioned that she feels guilty she cannot give them enough attention  or supervision.

NOT  IMMEDIATELY TAKING A BABY  WITH AN EAR INFECTION TO THE ER IS ABUSE

The little baby with the ear infection, needed immediate attention STAT . He needed to be taken to the emergency room immediately and not  have to wait until Nadya made a call to get someone to help. That baby did not have to suffer in pain until Nadya’s helper got out of bed in the middle of the night, went to the bathroom, got dressed, got in their car,  to  arrive at  her house to get the baby to put him in her car , to buckle him into a baby car seat, and finally  drive him to the ER.

Instead, Nadya  needed to have someone on hand right then and then to grab the child and take him to the ET immediately so there would be less time that the child had to suffer in agony.

HAVING NO NANNIES  OR ADDITIONAL HELP  AT NIGHT  WHEN SO MANY CHILDREN NEED ATTENTION IS ABUSE

The woman is  so overwhelmed and sleep deprived , that she  and not able to give each child  the correct  supervision. There are not enough nannies to go around during the day with only three nannies for 14 children. That is one nanny for 5 children.

The fact that there are  NO nannies at night, is appalling . Oprah was even appalled any this and  told Nadya  she needed night nannies.

How can Nadya  Not have  nannies  at night? It is a MUST!

Night time is when children need can  need help the most,. This is the time  when they  often get scared and cry or something often  goes wrong with them  health wise. The fact that these babies are  left crying all night long   with no one to comfort them , I find this highly abusive and  unconscionable.

There are thousands of  reputable and decent  people  out there who would love to volunteer for a night shift to hold and care for any of those crying babies.

ABUSE IS NOT SUPERVSING YOUR KIDS TOT HE POINT THAT YOU ARE CLUELESS  THAT ONE  CHILD WAS STEPPING ON ANOTHER AND  HURTING THEM

If it wasn’t for the Oprah camera crew,  who knows what would have happened  to the baby who was stepped on by their older sibling!. Who knows what damage was done to that child.! That was only one incident that we saw when there were camera filming the children..

One can only imagine what else goes on in that household when there are no cameras..

ABUSE IS ALLOWING A CHILD TO WALK AROUND WITH A CLEFT LIP WITHOUT SURGICAL REPAIR

Seeing  the baby with the  open cleft lip at that age disturbed me  greatly. Having spent a lot of my early career working with patients who had facial deformities, I know a lot about people who are born with cleft lips and palates.

I know that  surgery is usually performed during the first 3 to 6 months to repair  a cleft lip and between 9 and 14 months to repair the cleft palate. . This baby apparently only has a cleft lip. That lip should have been repaired at least 6 months ago,

To allow this child to live with a gaping split in his lip where it will make his eating, swallowing,  and speech and language development problematic as he grows is abuse in  my book. It is unconscionable to not  repair the child’s cleft and to have let it go untreated for so long a period

ABUSE IS ONLY GETTING TWO HOURS A NIGHT  SLEEP AND NOT FUNCTIONING EFFECTIVELY AROUND YOUR CHILDREN

WE all know that  most parents of babies rarely get a good night’s sleep. But when a human being ONLY gets 2 hours of sleep a night and that situation has been going on for over a year, this is very bad.It is not only bad for the parent but very bad for the child.

There have been enough studies in the literature throughout  the years  concerning  sleep deprivation  and what happens to a person if they have no slept for long periods of time, The bottom line is that they cannot function properly.

They cannot make the right decisions, Their  perceptions are distorted, Their physical coordination and reaction time is impaired. They become less emotionally stable and more emotionally labile..

With Nadya  getting a reported 2 hours of sleep per night, it is no wonder that her perceptions are distorted .How can she properly  care for all of these children if her perceptions are misguided and she doesn’t think clearly?  She could make a lot of mistakes in terms of how she cares for these children thereby endangering their welfare..

ABUSE IS NOT IMMEDIATELY ADDRESSING  THE NEEDS OF A POTENTIALLY TROUBLED CHILD

Nadya  mentioned several times how her 8 year old boy acts up and how he is more of a handful than her 8 babies. Maybe he acts up because he needs the attention. Maybe he acts up because  he is troubled.

Whatever the case,  the fact that this boy is acting up needs to be immediately  addressed by a professional. By neglecting  and not getting this boy proper help in the form of a therapist or counselor she is doing him a huge  disservice.

EMPTY MONOTONE   RHETORIC  COMPLETE WITH  MEA CULPA  REFLECT  MANIPULATION

Nadya has all the right words and  says all the right things to show us she has  psychological  insight with regard to what she has irresponsibly and irrevocably done.

She says  the 14 children came from “my own childish desires.” She says shew as “selfish and immature.”

As she self deprecates in telling us how bad and dumb she was to do this , she offers up no solutions for her problem.

Her monotone indicates that she has robotically discovered that it is  much easier to agree with what the public thinks of her than to argue with them as she did early on when she appeared on the Dr. Phil show fighting with her mother. .

All of this is manipulation in my view. Her agreement  with public sentiment is a way of shutting them up. What more can you say when you point the finger at someone and they in turn, point the finger at themselves in agreement  that they were wrong?  You can say nothing!

So  now that she has shut people up by agreeing with them, she can now play the victim role and to the hilt and tell them how bad off she is in hopes that they will  now help out. After all, she agrees with them as to what a bad thing she did.

NADYA LOVING THE ATTENTION !!!!!

Nadya  tries to get you to feel sorry for her as she tries to justify her actions for accepting $100,000 for a bikini photo shoot in a  magazine by appeasing  any detractors and saying she feels “a tremendous amount of guilt”  There is no  doubt in my mind that she LOVED IT!!

Personally I have spoken to many limo drivers who have chauffeured Nadya back and forth to her many media gigs and they  ALL tell me she LOVES all  the attention.

Even though she tries to paint herself as this prim and proper innocent woman who just made a mistake because she loves kids so much, she no doubt  LOVES  that she  has  been offered a role in a porn film “three times. ” While she  says she found  being offered these film roles  “disrespectful,”there is no doubt in my mind that it flattered her very fragile ego.

Nadya’s immaculate makeup, manicured fingernails, low cut tee shirts, figure hugging dresses, and short skirts  not only scream for attention but scream that she wants to be seen a sexy. What better validation for your sexiness than to have a porn company offer you a film deal!

NADYA LOVES THE PAPPS AND THE ATTENTION

Pushing  awkward  multiple  giant strollers to go to to a public park for a few minutes of playtime with the kids  is bound to get anyone to look at you., l et alone the paparazzi..

That is exactly why Nadya does it. She  no doubt LOVES the papps and loves the  public attention. It is what fuels her.

She does not hate the papps as she says. According to my sources, . she has even contacted them to let them know of her whereabouts so that they can  film her.

NADYA NEEDS TO GET SOME HELP BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE

When we saw  Nada in a  day in her life on Oprah talking to her eldest child who didnt want to go to school and told him that  it was illegal for him not to go to school. She also said  that  and if he didn’t go to school social services would come and take him away  or disrupt he family/

As we heard Nadya tell this to her little boy, it was clear to see that Social Services is in the forefront of Nadya’s mind.

There is no doubt that they are watching her like a hawk and waiting for some major slip up, so that they can  to intervene,

When Oprah asked her if she would consider giving the kids to foster families to help take care of them, Nadya  adamantly  refused to consider the thought and said she would do anything  in her power  to make sure this never happened. But it may very well happen.

The ONLY way this will never happen is if she earns  enough money to properly support these kids, get more nannies and more help  for the kids, so that all of their immediate needs can be addressed.

She needs to have more time to sleep so that she can function properly. She needs to stop living in the illusion that she will find some work out there to support her family that isn’t media related. It will NEVER  happen. Who will hire her? She cannot start a business of her own and take care of this family. There is only one solution.

NADYA NEEDS TO IMMEDIATELY RECONSIDER HER MEDIA  OPPORTUNITIES

The only way Nada cn earn enough money for her kids and still be with her kids is if she puts her  them on TV so that we can all watch them grow up. As far as abuse and exploitation, if  child labor laws are followed and there is a therapist on hand at all times I foresee that this can be a win- win situation for all.

Say what you will about Kate Gosselin,, she never has to worry about having enough  money for her kids. She may have to worry about other things like their psychological health. But she will at least have enough money to afford therapists for them in the future if and when they need one.

Love her or hate her, Kate has taken advantage of her situation and  made a cottage industry out of her sextuplets  as they are cared for financially, They will never starve to death  and they have enough money in their trust funds to attend college if they choose to do so.’

This cannot be said for Nadya’s kids. People will continue to  notice them and know who they are just because  Nadya  is their mother ,. Her excuse at wanting to givev them a normal life is naive. There is no way they will ever have a normal life based on their circumstances.

So in order to give them a better life, why not share them with the public and afford them opportunities they could never have?  The one thing ,Kate Gosselin  said about her show was that it gave the kids experiences and opportunities to do things they could never do  because there was no money to do them.

For that reason alone Nadya should consider having them on a show, Besides people love watching babies grow, especially multiples as we saw from Jon and Kate Plus 8’s popularity.

That is why in my view, Nadya needs to write another letter to Oprah, Only this time she needs to let Oprah  know that she reconsidered having her kids on TV and  gives the OWN  Network first choice in making a  decision to produce and air  her show.

By having a show featuring the kids, there will be a very public watchful eye over them so that no  harm can come to them, In addition  Nadya or her  children will never have to worry  where their next meal will be coming from.. http://www.drlillianglass.com/

The Body Language of “Itless” Infamy On Television And the Message It Sends To Our Young Girls

It never ceases to amaze me when I see who shows up on a TV gig or their own show these days. In many instances, it doesn’t matter if they have talent, a skill, and education, on camera experience, charisma or the IT factor. It seems that these days if  some women take of their clothes, sleep with a rich and powerful married guy, make a sex tape, have lots of babies at once, or are a train wreck, there is a good chance you may make it to the TV screen for your 15 minutes to one hour of fame if not more.

While Rachel Uchitel May have IT in the bedroom, based on her affairs with rich and powerful men including, Tiger Woods, in my view she was clearly ITLESS as she appeared on Extra with her nasal monotone, choked off , throat- closing voice, and lack of charisma .Even so, this ITLESS non- camera talent, like her or not, has a regular gig on Extra where she will be covering the party scene.

FORMER NY GOV. ELLIOT SPITZER’S PROSTITUTE GIVING ADVICE?

Equally “ ITLESS” non-camera talent who obviously had IT in the bedroom was prostitute Ashley Dupree, who’s liason with former NY Governor Elliott Spitzer, stripped him of his office. As much IT as she had in the bedroom, was as much” ITLESSNESS” she had when she appeared throughout the media giving advice to the other prostitute/ call girls/ mistresses and to Tiger’s wife Elin. Dupree consistently wore a mean-looking mono- faced expression as she doled out her limited and in my view lame advice!

Yet, she is not only giving that advice over the airwaves on top rated shows, this uneducated unprofessionally trained Elliot Spitzer prostitute, is disseminating advice on a regular basis in print , in the New York Post.

TIGER’S TEAM OF MISTRESSES REGULAR APPEARANCES IN THE MEDIA

Tiger’s  mistresses and call girls are also cashing in big and getting their share of fame. Jaime Grubbs who is now posing for Maxim magazine and Jaime Jungers both got their 15 minutes of fame by appearing on top rated shows as the Today Show and Access Hollywood. Apparently there is also talk of a reality show consisting of all of Tiger’s mistresses.

While Jungers is monotone and monofaced, I do believe that Jaime Grubbs, actually seems to have little bit of the IT factor.

She has some life to her based on how she comes across in her interviews. I especially saw some watchability and likeability in her personality as she recently appeared in a Radaronline interview discussing her Native American heritage.

Now, ITLESS  Nadya Suleman who’s claim to fame was irresponsibly undergoing fertility treatment to have 8 more children when already had 6 that she could barely care for, is allegedly in talks with the Game Show Network about doing a dating show with her.
While she definitely needs the money to feed and care for her brood, getting your own show when you have no media experience is absurd. If she hosts a talk show I think that is a bad idea.

But if she  has a show where the premise of the show is to find her a boyfriend or a husband to help her with her babies, that might be a good idea. After all, why shouldn’t Nayda get some love in her life? I only hope it is not a show where her babies will be ever exploited. So far she has been really good about not exposing them.

Then there is the other woman who also rose to public fame as a result of taking fertility pills and ending up with sextuplets. On her Jon and Kate Plus 8 Show we saw Kate Gosselin abuse her husband, yell at her kids, throw things, and have multiple tantrums. It was not a pretty sight.

On her TLC Specials we saw her self -centeredness, sarcasm, snarkiness and arrogance up close and personal, as we watched her disrespectfully throw her papers on the ground containing viewers questions. Then we had to endure her fake tears as she publically complained about the father of her children.

Nevertheless, TLC is rewarding Kate’s abusive and bad behavior with her own show. They aren’t even sure of the format. At first they said it would be a talk show. Then it was changed to a dating show and apparently now it is a show where Kate does various jobs, like the old Simple Life on MTV with Paris Hilton and Nichole Richie.

While they are trying to give Kate some experience and develop her chops by having her serve a guest host on the View, in my personal view she still remains ITLESS. No matter how many image makeovers or hair extensions they give her and how much money she needs to support her brood, I personally can’t seem to erase the images of all of her egregious and abusive behaviors that have been engrained in my mind as I recall her previous antics on TV and in photos throughout the years.

And please don’t tell me what inspirational single mothers Kate and Nadya are and how difficult it is to have so many children to raise. No one forced the fertility drugs down their throats. They knew the risks, especially Kate who was a bona fide nurse at the time.

These two have an army of nannies and helpers, giving them plenty of time to get hair extensions and their nails done regularly, go to the gym, and pick out nice outfits to wear, as they gallivant around in limos to get them their various TV gigs.

Instead, tell me about the single mothers who have to do it ALL by themselves- the cooking the cleaning the clothes washing, the driving, the care taking on a full-time basis, so they don’t have time to go to the gym or get their hair done or nails manicured .

Tell me about the mothers who have to raise their kids on their OWN with NO HELP and yet stay up late and during their kid’s nap times and school times, take classes on- line so they can get a college education and earn a degree to better their lives. These women are inspirations to me and would be to any young woman out there.

While Kim Kardashian is very pretty, after she opens her mouth and you hear her uptalk, nasality and monotone in my opinion, that is where her prettiness ends. Why is this woman famous and how did she become famous enough for her and her entire family to now have a reality show on E!

But recently, after a sex tape of her surfaced giving oral sex to someone, being allegedly abused by a former boyfriend, and becoming engaged to now deceased Johnson and Johnson heiress Casey Johnson, and now her alleged developing pregnancy, she is suddenly back in the limelight where her every move appears to be documented on Radaronline.

Now an alleged  sex tape and definate naked photos have allegedly surfaced of diminutive Snooki of the Jersey Shore, no doubt insuring that she will retain top star status of her show, if not a spinoff of her own show which she has mentioned she wants. She’s even names it “Sookin for Love.” There is no doubt that someone will eventually give her some type of show.

GIVING YOUNG WOMEN A WRONG MESSAGE

While I’m all for being making a living and even making that living on television, in my view, I feel that rewarding women for bad, vulgar or lewd abusive, or irresponsible behavior by giving them a show and an opportunity to be a role model, gives a very bad message to our future generation of young women.

I see it as a setback to women who have struggled so hard to gain respect and dignity that has been so difficult to achieve.

Women have worked very hard for equality and respect over the past three decades. Today women are in positions that they would never have been in decades ago. They are doctors, lawyers, CEO’s, politicians, judges , businesswomen, philanthropists, entrepreneurs, and world leaders.


SEEING THE RIGHT WOMEN WHO INSPIRE AND HAVE SOMETHING TO OFFER

Some of the top movers and shakers in the world are women. These are the women who are talented and accomplished and  have so much to offer

They inspire others and need to be rewarded and looked up to as role models in my view. Women who have made it on their own, against all odds ,and who have done unselfish things for others also need to be looked up to and admired and rewarded in my opinion.

ANGELINA AND HAYDEN AS INSPIRATIONS

No matter what you think of Angelina Jolie, she in my view , a wonderful woman who is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She is a great role model to women. Not only did she adopt needy children, she raises social awareness of what is going on with women and children in third world countries.

Even young and beautiful actress Hayden Panettiere is someone to be looked up to as she puts her passion into a worldwide crisis — being dedicated to save dolphins.

Their positive behavior, education, unselfish actions, awareness and genuine accomplishments need to be rewarded- not the reverse.

In my view I think that having these type of women on a television show where they can be a voice to other women and serve as a role model would be so beneficial to young people.

YOUNG WOMEN SEEING OTHER INSPIRING WOMEN ON TV

Mind you thes type of women on TV do exist in the form of Oprah, Ellen, Nancy Grace, Diane Sawyer, Katie Couric, Mary Hart, Joy Behar, Meredith Viera, Heidi Klum, Jane Velez Mitchell, Greta Van Sustern, Tyra Banks, Robin Roberts, Barbara Walters, Julie Chen, Chelsea Lately, Rachel Ray, and Whoopie Goldberg. Seeing these type of wonderful women over the airwaves needs to happen more in my view.

Young women need to look at these women and others as a means of inspiring them towards being the best they can be!

They need to see that it is a woman’s brains, behavior, actions, accomplishments talents, and abilities that should inspire them- not the fact that someone has spread their legs, shown off their booty, shown ugly abusive and self-centered behavior or are talentless and ITLESS.

There are way too many other women out there who have worked hard to gain the respect and recognition they deserve They have proven talent and abilities and have IT.
